We look forward to celebrating the imminent birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first child, who will be seventh in line to the throne.
While we await news of Harry and Meghan’s arrival, in property terms which Royal named roads are the most valuable, or the most familiar from the bookmakers’ favourites?
Properties sold on streets bearing the names Albert, Isabella, Diana and Alexander all attracted average sales prices in excess of £220,000 in the last year, yet all the top names fall below the current average UK house price of £226,000.
Victoria is the most popular girls’ name for a street, while Albert is the most popular among boys’ names.
More than 3,000 and 1,200 sales respectively were recorded on streets with these names in the last 12 months.
This compares to fewer than 50 sales on streets with the names Isabella and Diana. Alexander is the least prominent boys’ name, accounting for just 130 sales.
Based on the current odds, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Harriett, Rose and April complete the top 10 most expected girls’ names, while Christopher, Daniel, Harry, Phillip and Joseph are the favourite for a royal baby boy.
