Christmas is definitely on its way! Crowds flocked to two areas in the north of the borough to watch as festive lights were officially switched on.

In Eastcote, Field End Road resembled the North Pole on Thursday, November 13, with Santa’s Grotto and a small Christmas market filling the pavement outside The Ascott pub, in Field End Road.

School and church choirs performed to the crowds before the Mayor of Hillingdon, councillor Catherine Dann, switched on the high street lights.

The Mayor was back performing the important duty on Saturday, November 15, this time in Northwood Hills.

About 1,000 people gathered outside Namaste Lounge, in the recently refurbished Joel Street, to hear Christmas carols and songs from a host of performers and school choirs, as well as meet Santa in his grotto and watch the mayor turn on the high street’s Christmas lights.

We were delighetd to sponsor the grotto and povide the Christmas gifts.
