A working mum from Ruislip is a finalist in the first Networking Mummies National Business Awards.
Suparna Dhar has is nominated in the Business Mum of the Year category, which recognises hard-working mothers across the country.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony tonight at Jury’s Inn in Birmingham.
Mrs Dhar, 42, lives with her husband and two young children and runs her own business, Life’s Canvas.
It supports mothers who have been through domestic abuse, along with parents who are struggling with everyday parenting issues.
Mrs Dhar said: “What I do is very rewarding anyway, but to be recognised for that is amazing.”
She has also just self-published her first cook book with recipes that were shared by women affected by domestic abuse.
Mrs Dhar has two more books planned, including one about empowering survivors of domestic abuse, with proceeds of all her books going to Women’s Aid.
